America's Unclaimed History

America's Unclaimed History In-Person

A documentary film series exploring cringe-worthy moments in American history.  Learn about our past and take a look at decisions facing us today. Will our collective conscience be clear in the future?  (First Friday each month all year - different topics every month.)

This month: STATE OF EUGENICS:The Story of Americans Sterilized Against Their Will; 56 minutes.

Starting in 1933, one of the most aggressive eugenics programs in the world sterilized more than 7,600 men, women and children right here in the USA.  This film follows the journey of survivors, legislators and journalists who learn justice is little more than an illusion.  As survivors' stories unfold in the film, a new effort to atone for the wrongs done to them emerges-- monetary compensation.
